The European Commission has reduced the duty rate for unsanded and unplanned okoume veneer sheets from 6% to 0%. The exact customs descriptionis as below.
“Customs Code 4408 39 30 10 – Okoumé veneer sheets of a thickness not exceeding 6 mm, unsanded, unplaned, of a kind used in plywood manufacture 0 % from 6%”.
Oukoume veneer is widely used in plywood manufacturing.
