Plywood Quality Required For Formwork
Also named concrete plywood, formply or marine plywood, phenolic film faced plywood is widely used in modern building projects which need lots of cement pouring job. It acts as an important part of the formwork and is a common building material used by the formwork company.
Due to the nature of cement shuttering works, a sheet of quality shutter ply should meet
- Film face should be of high resistance to corrosion and moisture, Smooth and easy to take off from formwork cement and easy to clean.
- Ply core should be water-resistant and won’t swell. It is waterproof ply for exterior uses.
- Core should be strong enough and won’t break under heavy concrete load.
- Edge should be sealed with paint and waterproof.
